Fikile Mlomo Biography:
Fikile Mlomo is a well-known gospel music artist from KwaZulu-Natal, renowned for her powerful melodic voice. She gained popularity after releasing her debut album, “Umangisuka,” and performing the single track “Mama.” Fikile is also known for her disciplined character when it comes to dressing, as she doesn’t wear any clothes that expose her body.

Fikile Mlomo’s personal life and relationships have been subject to public interest and media attention. She has been married twice and has three children. Her first marriage was to Sizwe Mhlongo, with whom she had two children, but the couple divorced in 2007. 2012, she married Themba Shabalala, and they have a child together. In an interview with Sunday Sun, she confirmed that she had been abused in each of her previous relationships and reached her breaking point. She said that after dropping out of Grade 11 when she was only 15, she went to live with her 21-year-old boyfriend, who would beat her up for no reason. She even lost her four-month-old premature baby due to the abuse.

Recently, Fikile was diagnosed with a Spinal Tumor, which has caused her to lose mobility and use a wheelchair and walker to get around. She is soliciting funds for surgery, which requires a lot of money. To help her raise funds, the BI PHAKATHI FOUNDATION, in partnership with THINAH ENTERTAINMENT, is organizing a program themed “Prayer for Fikile Mlomo and Raising of Funds for Operation.” The event is taking place at GNFDurban Station on 26th April 2024, and a lineup of artists and group choirs will perform, including Ayanda Ntanzi, Jumbo, Thinah Zungu, Babo Ngcobo, Nuz Voices of Joy, Swili, Lamontvile Gospel Choir, Icebo Team, and more.
