Mzukulu’s Biography:

Sfanele Dumisani Zulu who is popularly known as Mzukulu who was born in KwaCeza in the rustic Ngungumbane tribal authority in the KwaZulu-Natal district of Engeza. He is the son of late renowned Maskandi music performers, Phumangelakhe and Thuleleni (Ma-Hlela) Buthelezi. Mzukulu went to Siyangempumelelo high school and after his graduation, he attended University of South Africa (Unisa).

Age & Early Life:

Mzukulu was born in the family of maskandi musicians, his grand father was a well-known maskandi musician, his fathers followed suite and he upheld the legacy of the family by also choosing the same career for himself. Information about his actual age and date of birth remain known to him and his family member for now, but from observation, he seems to be in his early thirties.

Music Career:

Mzukulu started his music career at an early age while growing up in a family of professional musicians, he parents insisted he get a university degree before venturing fully into music. He started making music after the death of his father. His debut album came in the 2018 which is titled “Vukani Nonke”. The album housed a total of 15 songs. Mzukulu has since then released other four Maskandi projects with his latest album titled “Ijuba” released on the 08 of December, 2023. About three songs from the album have surpassed 1 million views in just over 8 months.

Mzukulu 2024 Home Coming:

Mzukulu is preparing to host a music concert or festival this October, the event is tagged “Mzukulu Home Coming Festival” which will take place at the “Ulundi Stadium” on the 5th of October, 2024. Lwah Ndlunkulu will be performing live at the event. Several other artists which Mzukulu is yet to reveal, are also going to be perming at the event on that day.
